    Requires some listening to fully be understood but is totally worth it. Your perseverance will be rewarded by the discovery of insane and beautiful lyrics. The samples used all along are awesome. This clearly is a hip-hop/rap album but it also offers moments to get closer to opera-style, impressive electric guitar riffs, a lot of piano, R&B, clapping, pop and beautiful choirs. This is anRequires some listening to fully be understood but is totally worth it. Your perseverance will be rewarded by the discovery of insane and beautiful lyrics. The samples used all along are awesome. This clearly is a hip-hop/rap album but it also offers moments to get closer to opera-style, impressive electric guitar riffs, a lot of piano, R&B, clapping, pop and beautiful choirs. This is an album that lets the silence have its own room in the record. Overall production is terrific. There are a lot of guests (and a lot that are not even credited) but they all surprisingly find their own place and manage to differentiate from each other. Kanye created an unique balance between long tracks (8 out of 13 are longer than 5 minutes) and short ones (2 out of 13 less than 2 minutes long).

    I honestly can't put higher than an 8.5/10 because some passages sound really unharmonic to me even if I listen to this again and again. In conclusion I have nothing more to say that this album is truly powerful, consistent, clever and varied.    … Expand

    I agree that this is the greatest album of the 2010s, but there are better album than this I would listen too tbh. Album do którego zmierzał cały gatunek i wszystkie eksperymenty Ye, jednymi słowy najlepsze, najważniejsze hip hopowe dzieło jakie powstało. Pierwsze dwa albumy Kanye Westa wyniosły hip hop z ulic na salony, piąty album Kanye Westa nadał hip hopowi rangę najprawdziwszej sztuki.

    Album łączy w sobie wszystkie dotychczasowe osiągnięcia Westa, wszystkie mocne strony poprzednich albumów, od figlarności TCD, głębi LR, przystępności Graduation, emocjonalności i eksperymentalnego podejścia 808s.

    Liryczne Kanye West stworzył dzieło bardzo kontemplacyjne, głębokie i intymne. Występuje tu jako filozof i błazen zarazem, mówi o rzeczach wzniosłych, jednocześnie bywając do bólu obsceniczny. Porusza tematy upajania się hedonizmem, bogactwem i władzą jaką ze sobą niosą, a zarazem zagubienia i emocjonalnego wypalenia.     I'm not a huge fan of hip-hop but this album is an exception. It's clearly flawlessly arranged, the lyrics brilliantly showcase emotions of the artist and, in my experience, this is his best work and the best of what the genre can offer.

    In one of the few perfect 10s of this decade, Kanye West seemingly hits everything musically on MBDTF. The production, features, lyricism, and beats make for a beautiful and conflicting listening experience. Arguably the most complete musical album of the 10s’, definitely deserves and will receive listens for years to come.

The grandiose choirs and samples all working in unison to push the message of racism, self improvement, and unrelenting yet justified arrogance, make for one of the greatest pieces of musical work this decade has ever seen. The sheer amount of thought and effort seemingly put into every track, and the hard hitting, thought provoking, witty, and humorous lyrics that can be found within them justifies the critical acclaim. In my opinion, this album alone has cemented Kanye as the greatest rapper alive, maybe even of all time. 10/10

All I have to say about Monster is Nicki Minaj: enough said. So appalled is a slightly weaker track however this track is better than a lot of rappers best songs and it features the first of Pusha T's iconic features.Then Kanye is back to his best on Devil in a new Dress and this might be the best Rick Ross Verse ever made- and probably to ever exist. Runaway is a sombre track where Kanye reflects on his failed relationships. Excellent production and an excellent Pusha T feature.     Has some of the best Kanye songs of all time, such as POWER, Devil in a New Dress, Dark Fantasy, and Runaway, but also a few songs bring it down, such as Blame Game and H*ll Of a Life/

    As much praising this album gets, it can't be overrated, because it is a masterpiece.
    No one ever does maximalism like Kanye on MBDTF, literary every song on it is a complex bop with outstanding production, powerful instrumental and highly creative structure. This record is beyond just hip-hop or rap, it has so many influences from other genres like classical music. Lyrics are somewhere    As much praising this album gets, it can't be overrated, because it is a masterpiece.

    One of the most genius albums of the decade displays Kanye West’s undeniable talent as a producer, lyricist, and artist. Runaway is the albums magnum opus, which is an amazing song.

    Impeccable album with very little flaws if any, the intro song is amazing and has some all time classics. There isn't a single bad song on the album and none are skips. Even lower songs like HOAL and Blame Game are still incredible and replayable. Very easily Kanye’s best album.

    The music is inspiring yet creative. I believe it to be Kanyes best album and for reason. The samples and creative interludes of this album are incredible. And one last thing, it has Runaway so yeah..

All of the above mentioned, with extremely well fitting features and interludes, this album shows Kanye's best work yet. His lyricism explains and shows him and his 'antics' in a new light.     Going into the album, I thought that it might not be as great as everyone made it out to be. When i did hear it however, I was happy to leave having found the album to be the masterpiece many people hyped it up to be. Songs like Power, All of the Lights, Monster, and Runaway perfectly exemplify the musical excellence that Kanye was aiming to make with this album. This entire album isGoing into the album, I thought that it might not be as great as everyone made it out to be. When i did hear it however, I was happy to leave having found the album to be the masterpiece many people hyped it up to be.     It is the best album of the 2010s and one of the best albums in hip hop of all time. All features he managed to get are crazy. My favorite song on it is either "Devil In a New Dress" or "Runaway"

    This album has some of the most grand, luscious, and expensive production I have ever heard on an album. Throughout a well composed set of instrumentals, Kanye gives us some of his insights, lavish lifestyle, and personal struggles. My favorite tracks are Devil in a New Dress, Runaway, POWER, Dark Fantasy, and Gorgeous.

    Definitely Kanye's best album with features like Elton john, Rihanna, and Kid cudi this is probably my favourite album of all time and you should definitely listen to it.

    Now, I don't think this is a flawless Masterpiece and concider it to be one of Kanye's weaker projects, but it is still an incredible album. Kanye is such an artist, that even his weaker albums are 8/10s. I can completely see why people love it to death.

    Being the first Kanye album I listened to, it was honestly surprising. I'm not the biggest fan of Hip-Hop, I mainly stay around Rock or Classic Rock music. Saying that, I do believe My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy is one of the best albums I have listened to. From production to the experimental sounds used to better the album, it is well rounded. The song 'Runaway' was in my opinion theBeing the first Kanye album I listened to, it was honestly surprising. I'm not the biggest fan of Hip-Hop, I mainly stay around Rock or Classic Rock music. Saying that, I do believe My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy is one of the best albums I have listened to. From production to the experimental sounds used to better the album, it is well rounded. The song 'Runaway' was in my opinion the best song of the album. With its unique opening and ending to the track and also protraying its message perfectly. Final score: 7.62/10 or 8/10. I do believe it's super important to hip hop and showed that Kanye is a staple of the music industry but Hell Of A Life, Lost In The World, Who Will Survive In America, they really feel boring to me personally and I've skipped them when listening to this album.     This album is almost incredible. Rick Ross's verse on Devil In A New Dress is the hardest guest verse ever recorded in hip-hop. Nicki Minaj's verse on Monster is 2nd. POWER is one of my favourite hip-hop songs of all time. But for some reason, songs such as Gorgeous and So Appalled don't connect with my soul as much as they seem to for other people.     Wow. Just wow. A beautiful piece of work following all of his controversy, and I truly cannot see this album being anything below a 10. This album has some of the highest highs I've ever seen, and the lows of the album are amazing tracks as well. Runaway is one of my favorites on the album, and it really shows how much of a creative genius Kanye is as he puts his thoughts and mindset onWow. Just wow. A beautiful piece of work following all of his controversy, and I truly cannot see this album being anything below a 10. This album has some of the highest highs I've ever seen, and the lows of the album are amazing tracks as well. Runaway is one of my favorites on the album, and it really shows how much of a creative genius Kanye is as he puts his thoughts and mindset on display on this 9 minute song. Each song tells it's own story, from the racial inequality on gorgeous, to the struggles of being in the public eye on All of the lights. Devil in a new dress also drops one of the greatest rap verses I have ever seen, with Rick Ross. With all of it's amazing wordplay ("The plan was, to drink until the pains over, but what's worse? The pain or the hangover?"- Dark Fantasy) or (Face it, Jerome get more time than Brandon",) and all of the amazing features, this album is truly the magnum opus of rap. 10/10 easily no question in my mind.… Expand

    Although it sometimes feels over-reliant on features and finishes somewhat weak, My Beautiful Dark Twisted fantasy is still a fantastic hip-hop album with top-tier production.
