It's an album that within moments hooks you emotionally. The band touches on themes like broken homes and insecurity, and uses them to preach a message of hope. To top it all off everything sounds fantastic.

The clean and unclean vocals meld together perfectly. They are used for great effect at differentiating between the different emotions that band wants you to feel at different points during the same song. Despite their tendency to focus on more meaningful themes the band isn't afraid to get heavy with their sound. For instance the song "Demon Teeth" will hit you over the head with it's excellent brutality. The aggression does a good job at staying almost constant throughout the album. A big plus for metal fans. It does a good job of balancing out the band's softer side and vise versa. There are also some excellent breakdowns to be found here.
That's not so say the band is all heavy all the time. Like I said the clean vocals are used for more emotional hooks among the louder elements. The last two tracks on the album ("This Lost Song Is Yours" and Fill;Avoid) don't feature any unclean vocals at all. While they are far from the highlights of the album they do a great job of changing up the flow before the album's conclusion.
Coming in at 10 tracks it's a bit shorter than you average album. However it uses that too ensure that things end just before they could have started to get monotonous. What we have here is an excellent album. One that is emotionally powerful and incredibly enjoyable.
