Whilst "Golden Greats" remains my personal favourite Ian Brown album (with "Music Of The Spheres" a close second), "My Way" is definitely his most consistent set yet and contains great tunes in abundance! This album is an all-timer. One of the greatest albums of the 2000s for sure. Stellify, the main highlight of the album, is the most beautifully written song of this century so far.

My way is unarguably one of the greatest albums of all time. Props to the legendary Manc Ian Brown.

Album of the century!! King Monkey outdid himself with this one. An easy 10/10 for me.

  1. Minor gripes aside, My Way is far better than anyone could have expected from a singer whose reputation is still judged by his musical contribution from 20 years ago.
  2. This is a surprisingly engaging record that highlights Ian Brown as an underrated songwriter and arranger, and underscores the point that while his enthusiasm for creativity is as infectious as ever, Spike Island and its ilk are unlikely to be revisited in the forseeable future.
  3. Ian Brown just keeps on getting better. As it stands, his way seems like the only way to go.
