This is the first CD I ever bought and it was really worth it. The artwork is very beautiful and the poster is great too. The songs on this album are fantastic. My personal favourite is "Placeholder". It's amazing that this album reached 2nd place in the UK Charts, even though its pretty different to mainstream music nowadays.

This is an exciting and fresh release from now-veterans Maximo Park. It’s both thrilling and poignant and bears repeated listen.

Maxïmo Park have returned re-invigorated and full of enthusiasm. It may never have been lost, but it has been put to great use on this fine album.

While many of these ideas aren't particularly sexy, especially for artists who've recently turned forty, the band wisely keeps their grand, romantic gestures in check while making them thoughtful and relatable.

Yes, it’s a more mature album than those initial shots that audiences lost their minds and virginities to from 2004 to 2007. But it’s also a rich, passionate and clever album that, even if it ends up being underrated, deserves full attention and praise.
