    This is the pop album that I have been missing. There has been a wealth of superb music released in 2016, but much of that has been from artists like Leonard Cohen and Bon Iver, who aren't exactly known for making "upbeat" albums. Listen to this, like I am, tonight, and remember the wonderful times you've had in 2016, and anticipate the magnificent year to come.

    This is an album which very much belongs in 2016, and an expectedly assured debut from a band who are by no means redefining the sound of New York City rock ‘n’ roll, but are laying claim to being worthy flag bearers of it going forward.
