From its intro--a carefully crafted hip-hop instrumental by legendary producer Alchemist that creates the tone so astutely, to it’s end--a track guested by both Ratking crew-member Wiki and King Krule, it’s hard not to get swept up in this record.

This sharper, steelier focus simply ensures that every aural blow is fatal. [24 May 2014, p.54]

The bleakness feels more panoramic than before, and when it zooms inward, it tap into reservoirs of power that Trash Talk are only beginning to explore.

If you're just looking for some furiously raw background music, Trash Talk will do just fine, but if you're hoping that the songs will hit as hard as the band does, No Peace is a real letdown.

If the band's 2012 debut for the label, 119, attracted a certain amount of criticism from early-day fans due to its diversity, then No Peace is a more cohesive record. [Jul 2014, p.86]

A few more of those scattered breaks into hip-hop and electronica could have given the record’s well-traveled sounds some fresh legs to stand on. Instead, it’s hard not to look at No Peace as a bit of a missed opportunity.
  7. 50
Too often, though, the rage is vague.
