Not an expert on Shoegaze, but these guys seem to fit in that mold. Also, Post Punk like Interpol. But while Interpol is NYC cool, Chapel Club is British cool. It's different. Overall, a great record with infectious songs. The album chugs along and it's easy to keep on repeat.

The way a latent power blends with an occasionally slightly gauche drama suggests early Radiohead. And, as with Radiohead, it feels like the second album could be the key event, deciding whether these collegiate English sounds can enrapture the wider world. [Mar 2011, p.98]

While they never quite manage to better the decayed teen-idol horror-pop of Deerhunter, another band preoccupied with the thin membrane between dreams and nightmares, at their best they keep the listener from Playing I Spy with their influences. [Mar 2011, p.107]

    It's a stylish dark, literate affair. [Feb 2011, p.94]
