Sep 11, 2011My favorite album of all time. The lyrics are clever, and the music is addicting to say the very least. The vocalist's voice changes perfectly with the music, and his singing style is so unique that it never gets old. It's a crime that this band isn't more popular.

JesseR.Sep 11, 2007I've been following Pale Young Gentlemen since their first show here in Madison more than two years ago. In addition to having in my opinion one of the most unique albums of the year, they also put on pne of the best performances. The band's line up now consists of a cello and three violins in addition to the piano guitar and drums.

ErikH.Sep 19, 2007The most fun album of the year and also one of the year's best. Go buy it today! The best song is "Saturday Night".

BessieC.Sep 19, 2007Pale Young Gentlemen are hands down the best band to come out of Madison in years, if not ever. Their live shows are brilliant and their self-released album holds its own against any major label indie-rock release this year.

ShaneW.Sep 22, 2007I really like this release. Very fun and upbeat. Don't miss their live show if they come to your town. Every time I see them they get better.

The Gents waltz their way through these ten sturdy, mid-tempo numbers rarely striking a bum note.
-
The band's eponymous debut is a classy, memorable, and swooning collection of sophisticated pop.
-
Thoroughly theatric, Pale Young Gentlemen's measured approach is channeled by the bricolage upshot of their composition.
