Feb 21, 2018This album does an amazing job nailing the melodic synth rock that a lot of bands are experimenting with. Songs like "Carl Sagen," "Border on Border," 'Only to Live in Your Memories," and "Alabama" are very inventive. While all these songs are very different, they follow with Night Moves' particular style. A hidden classic that I hope can reach the popularity that it deserves.

Apr 5, 2016Pennied Days is an album anyone who has ever been in love with rock music should listen to, and it has the kind of universal appeal that should mean big things for Night Moves down the road.

Mar 25, 2016The weakest tracks on the album somehow resemble Kings Of Leon B-sides echoing up from the bottom of a bottomless dark well. But taken all together, the sun-kissed synths and woozily inventive guitar work on Pennied Days does just enough for Night Moves to win the day.

MojoMar 24, 2016An enjoyably hook-filled, pulse-quickening dab of squidgy yet soulful colour. [May 2016, p.96]
