This is a disc with massive high points and few low moments.
  2. Feb 14, 2012

It takes a lot of talent to make crate-digging sound so seamless, and even if the cracks show every once in a while, Planet High School is some of the best patchwork around.
  3. Feb 14, 2012
    70
Despite the occasional sonic overload, Planet High School is a solid album and clearly a step in the right direction for Mux Mool.
  4. Feb 14, 2012
    70
Planet High School is obviously not perfect, nor should it be, but it is a step upwards and onwards for Mux Mool.
  5. Mar 6, 2012

The album's ten dirty bass, hydraulically placed rhythms come off like a more focused, implicit version of the Minnesota-born laptopper's previous work.
  6. Feb 14, 2012

So maybe Mux Mool can't literally do everything--but for the bulk of Planet High School, he's got himself an engaging something.
  7. Feb 14, 2012

Mux Mool has managed to produce another album as solid as it is thwarted by its limitations.
