Aug 9, 2022I really enjoyed the album. I would say it's my album of the year, love all the songs on the album especially the intro. Great album, kudos to Fireboy DML.

Oct 13, 2022This is absolute the best Afrobeats Album so far, distinctive sounds and pattern with sweet & melodic fusion of Afrobeats with Hip hop, Highlife, Rap, Rock, R&B, Reggae & other genre. Classic album with high replay value

Oct 16, 2022This is absolutely one of the best album I’ve listened to this year. It is very diverse, cohesive and pleasing to the ear. The artist and his A&R did a good work, kudos to them .

Aug 30, 2022Stars like Chris Brown, Shenseea, and Asake join him here and there, but for the most part, the collaborations are underplayed, leaving the spotlight where it belongs: on DML's silky vocals and mellow grooves.

Aug 8, 2022There are few outright misfortunes on Playboy. One miss is “Havin’ Fun,” which taps into a reggae-pop groove that feels sugary and dated. Then, repetitive placement of hit single “Peru” and its remix. ... Despite these choices, Fireboy’s third album maintains a strong mix of charming songs and engaging storytelling.

Aug 8, 2022Lyrically the album does what pop music does and creates a vibe but doesn’t necessarily encite any thought or, challenge the listener and the rest of the album from this point feels quite disconnected as we navigate out of the Afro-R&B with a feature from Rema on ‘Compromise’ to Nigerian highlife with lead single ‘Afro Highlife’ and reggae rhythms on ‘Having Fun’.
