An album of perfection. It's amazing what this band can do in one year. Polygondwanaland is the fourth album they made in 2017 but that had zero effect on the quality of their music. PGWL is as close as you can get to a perfect album. Every track feels like they have its own place and every song tells a story and Mackenzie and the rest of KGLW performed incredibly. It shows the band at their most proggy. [Mar 2018, p.26]

Polygondwanaland is one of their strongest excursions yet, not just of this year but of any.

Their fourth album of 2017 may not be their most exciting of the year, but it is their strongest and shows that King Gizzard don't need any bells and whistles to make a great psychedelic splash.
