Much much better then the previous and very lackluster album W.A.R. Much more solid of an album on all fronts except for maybe the song Scream. Time 2 to me is the most standout track here.

Definitely liked the album a lot more than I thought I would, but didn't really want to return to it for more than three listens. A few standout tracks, and nothing particularly weak, but it's not in the conversation for year's best or anything.

This album is a lot better than W.A.R. Desire is a little bit better in my opinion, but just by a hair. PTSD is about as good as Internal Affairs. Props

another incredible album by a legend. his storytelling has always been remarkable. he sounds great as ever. doesn't sound rusty at all. his lyrical skills remain flawless.

While PTSD is sometimes a slog, it's always substantial. [Jun 2014, p.63]

Troy Jamerson remains one "Bad M.F.," most evident on fifth track "Damage," a pointed anthem about pop culture and sociological injustices over a searing sample extracted from LL Cool J's "Mama Said Knock You Out."

All of it comes together for an album that's deep, attractive, and well-executed, but it's also incredibly wise.
