Not only is it essential listening for hip-hop in 2012, but also one of the few records that pushes musical and cultural boundaries in general.

  1. THIS DESTROYS MAINSTREAM HIP HOP !!!!!!!!!!!! An amazing album! full of raw energy and politically charged lyrics. My fav track is def regan it's def the best song of 2012 so far. Actually this and el-p''s cancer for cure are the two best albums out right now,as far as I know. Buy it because if you don't you're missing out on great new music, and that's somethong you never want to do, because this is your time and era and you have to live in it. Expand
  2. 10
Definately my favorite album of the year along with Kendrick Lamar's 'good kid m.A.A.d city'. 'Reagan' is without a doubt the best track on the album and possibly the best song of the year. Far superior to mainstream hip hop. Collapse
  3. I've heard of Killer Mike before this album, but had never listened to him knowingly...from that POV this album is remarkable. It feels nostalgic and fresh at the same time. Heavy beats, sharp lyrics with gigantic flow, and an admirable conscience make this album the must hear of year for me so far in 2012. Expand
  4. If you are looking for Southern Hip-Hop it is not here. This album has a very generic show to it, however me being a hip-hop aficionado, this can work for that hardcore head bobbing experience. Also lyrically it was pretty good too so overall decent album. Expand
