It's not a record for everyone. I never expected the critics to like it and I never expected it to be a "hit" album, but I love it.

The track is insane with shanell singing high notes and nicki minaj / eminem rappin like a champs. But obviously, it is Wayne who tears it apart, literally dropping the world on our heads! This album will be cherished until the much anticipated Tha Carter 4.

I didn't get into the album that much when i first heard it. later on it grew on me and lil wayne is a genius with his catchy phrases. sure lil wayne uses auto tune and vocoders but who doesn't?

Without a doubt one of the most beautifully constructed masterpieces of this generation.

One of my favorite albums of all time damn near flawless minus a couple tracks. One of Wayne's most musical projects also ironically some of the most meaningful lyrics ever from the rap God. American Star, Da Da Da, On Fire, Paradice, Drop the World, Runnin, I'LL DIE FOR YOU, One Way Trip all 10/10. I pray that in year 2030 the world finally understands it.

I like it but its definitely different from anything else he's done. I wouldn't call it rock per se, more of a rap-rock, but most of all its just Lil Wayne.

I don't know why the album had f***ing negative reviews, we need to go to new music experiences, and that was what Lil Wayne had done: experiment with rock mixing it with hip-hop. So, for you, AWESOME or AWFUL? For me, AWESOME!

This album was bound to fail because no one wants to see a rapper sing. To me that is idiot logic. Are there good songs on this cd? The answer is yes. Paradice, Drop the World and One Way Trip are very good songs. There are a couple songs I would say are very bad. I honestly think if you gave these songs to an established rock group and they put this cd out it would be viewed favorably.

Its Not A Bad Album But Its Not The Best. For Coming From Rap To Rock Its Good. I'd Rather Listen to This Rebirth Album instead of listening to other rocks bands like shinedown and people like them.

I went into this album expecting it to be nothing more then a pile of crap. I was wrong. It contains a few catchy songs here and there and by all means it isn't terrible. People just don't like the idea of a rapper trying to rock.

I don't understand why this album gets so much hate. This is Lil Wayne's exploration of rock music, though it is still technically a hip hop album. Some of the songs got too much criticism in my opinion like Da Da Da and Knockout, both of which I enjoyed. There are some great tracks here too like some of the ones I mentioned earlier, On Fire is catchy, Prom Queen is pretty good, Ground Zero is a hard-hitting rock song. Plus, there is a track featuring Eminem called Drop the World which is fantastic. Travis Barker from Blink-182 provides some of the production and drumming on the album on songs such as One Way Trip and Drop the World. Underrated and overlooked album. Expand

Guess what folks, unlike what people below are saying Wayne never really sings. He has auto-tune on his voice almost through the whole album and is usually just rapping even then. The only song people might like is Drop the world. Other than that almost every other song is just rock.....dumbed down. Songs like Da Da Da and many others are almost unlistenable. It's admirable that he tried to enter a genre and establish something, but it didn't work. As for the rating of "0", no way. This is not a good album, but it's not the most awful. It had some redeeming qualities but those qualities fall quite short of the flaws.

First of all I like Lil' Wayne, second this album is mostly crap, and third he somewhat gets too much hate than he deserves. "Drop The World" pretty much is the highlight of the album. The rest shows Wayne doesnt know what he's doing. Lil Wayne relies heavilly on the vocoder which is definitely bad factor. The state and reception of rap-rock has always been fairly mixed, with the exception of most critics and fans pointing out key artists like Run-D.M.C., The Beastie Boys, Rage Against the Machine, Linkin Park, Kid Rock, 311, & Cypress Hill that actually recieved some positive acclaim. An album like this from someone with a big fanbase like Wayne and someone whose name you cannot barely go anywhere without hearing, the state of rap-rock may have sunk some more. Expand

i love Lil Wayne and i love rock music. This album isn't even rock. Its more electronic and rap. I didn't like this album at all. I was waiting for this rock album for ever. I think the rock songs he had on his mix-tape was better. I did like A few songs. Drop the world is the best song on the album. The whole album is hard to listen to. For once I agree with the critics. usually they under rate good products & movies like Bad Santa, Jawanna Man, & Diary of a mad BLK women but this time they hit the nail right on the Head. Every snce he adopted Autotunme Lil Wayne has been mediocre but now hes just plain Wack with Lame immature lyrics & lyrical delivery & disposable music.

The only redeeming factor might be "Drop The World" - and thats the only reason I give a '2.' This album is horrible and honestly the worst album I have heard in some time. Wayne is SOOOO Much better than this crappy effort.

Com influências do Rock com Rap, Lil' Wayne pecou e muito, com poucas músicas boas, incluindo 'Knockout' e 'Runnin', Rebirth mostrou abaixo da média e com razão, Wayne infelizmente fracassou nesse.

  1. For the most part, though, Rebirth underlines what he can't: the problem of rap-metal remains unsolvable, even by him.
  2. When he emerged from his stupor, he announced that he was giving up rap to make a guitar album. Which brings us to ‘Rebirth’, a shlock-rock record so absurd it makes Alien Ant Farm seem like a legitimate musical venture.
  3. The problem is that Wayne has very questionable taste in rock. He splutters and wails over tracks stuffed with aggro stomp and bland riffage; it sounds like he's been holing up with a bunch of Spymob and Incubus records.
