THis is a Hot ALbum, Talib came back to his Roots, way better than the Beautiful Struggle!!!

This album clearly marks Kewli's degradation to a man struggling to make sense of his world, in which he inevitably fails. The album attempts to be "socially conscious," but includes throwaway lines about Elian Gonzalez and teenage abortions. Right About Now is mediocre, and anyone who can't see through it is digging for something that isn't there.

Good album. I didn't like beautiful struggle so much and except of "The Blast" reflection eternal wasn't so special either. This album has some good power songs. Check out "Blackstar" with DJ Hi-Tek for some more excellent work.

Yea.. I believe that you're right... The beautiful struggle was exactly that. A struggle, but not a beautiful one... he was strugglin to stay underground and gain that slow momentum, or just go for pop music, it missed more than it hit.... Good, but not great. The album starts out strong. The middle is pretty good. But the last 3 songs are absolute stinkers.

Anyone want a great Kweli album should get "Reflection Eternal" w/ DJ Hi-Tek or his stint in Blackstar. The rest are quite dissapointing. Just a little advice for Y'all Pimps.

Y'all reviewers are dumbfucks. Kweli spits out game like no otha, he's got substance to go along with style and lyrical flow. The beats are dope, and I say this is actually better than KWest's Late Registration. Right about now contends for album of the year.

Another strong batch of songs that are as entertaining as they are thought-provoking. [6 Dec 2005]
