But in general, the star power lead singer Hayley Williams possesses and the devotion from the band (the Farro brothers have since separated and said very controversial statements that Williams and the idea of Paramore's are "manufactured") help carry a generally popping second studio effort. "Misery Business" is pop gold and the album's glossier moments such as "For a Pessimist I'm
Pretty Optimistic" and "Crushcrushcrush" help guide listeners not charmed by the rest of the album's heavy power pop flow. It certainly started the band somewhere and they have since matured and have reached admirable heights.

Nada mau!

Great album really, but "Fences", "Born For This" & "Let the flames begin" prevented this amazing album to be a masterpiece.

But With strong tracks like "Hallelujah", "For a Pessimist, i'm Pretty Optimistic", "When it Rains", "That's What you Get", "Crushcrushcrush", "We Are Broken" & "Misery Business" made this album Great enough... Great Album

Paramore's best album to date. A great pop-punk album but so much more than that. Much better than their previous effort, All We Know is Falling. Paramore haven't been able to make an album that works as a whole album since Riot! but every track on this album works

Pontos Altos: CrushCrushCrush, Misery Business, Fences
Pontos Baixos: Let The Flames Begin, Hallelujah e For a Pessimist, I'm Pretty Optimist

Paramore really started their career with their sophomore album. A good collection of pop-punk tunes, this album is just far more consistent than their debut. Sure, there are some moments (toward the end of the album, in true Paramore style) that needed a bit more attention to them, but still, the album does rock, and rock pretty well.
Favourites: crushcrushcrush, Let the Flames Begin,

My favorite Paramore album! Every single song on this cd is a good one. Hayley Williams has a very strong voice. Every song shows off her vocal range in a different way. That is very impressive. Paramore will be here to stay.

Foxes é maravilhosa. Eu amo tudo o que ela faz, tudo bem feito, impecável. Coisa de artista de verdade, é uma pena ver que não tem o reconhecimento merecido.

Riot! is the musical equivalent of fast food. Good while it lasts but instantly forgettable with the exception of That's What You Get. Despite this it's one of those cases where catchy is good a.l.a Misery Business and crushcrushcrush. Hayley Williams has a sensational voice and the talents of her fellow band mates help them stand out on their own with an album which is highly unoriginal.

Right so i recently listened to Riot! for the 1st Time in its entirety yesterday and it was a really enjoyable and fun listen through these amazing 11 Songs. There is my personal favorite on the Album "crushcrushcrush" which i love Hayley Williams' vocals on there like a lot and honestly i loved her vocals so much during this Album. Miracle, That's What You Get, Let The Flames Begin, For a Pessimist, I'm Pretty Optimistic and another track that i would consider to be on the top 3 Tracks from the Album that being "Fences" were all fantastic songs and the only track out of this incredible Album i somewhat disliked was the 3rd Track on the Album "Hallelujah". So Anyway this Album was absolutely Incredible and a Light 9 out of 10 imo
It was definitely a step up from their 1st Album "All We Know Is Falling" but it also by far not one of my favorite Paramore albums but thats just cause of how Amazing the rest of their Albums truly are.

Riot mostly consists of generic pop rock tracks that are elevated by Hayley's powerhouse vocal chords and the track's uplifting lyrical content. One of its standout tracks is its lead single, "Misery Business", a jumpy, talk-sing pop track that sounds like a B-side from Avril Lavigne's The Best Damn Thing.

I love the music of Paramore, is a great band, but the music CD is some strange, and in some songs I don't feel a great sound, but is not bad, is my opinion. Riot! is a fantastic CD.

Riot! is decidedly one of Paramore's best albums. While it does lack the fresh sound of All We Know is Falling, the album generally is catchy and is a great example of a mainstream pop-rock band. It is a bit generic sounding, but the lyrics are relatively well written, so the flaws in this album are partly overshadowed by its strengths. Definitely give this album a listen if you prefer generic, yet brilliantly produced pop-rock music . Expand

este album es todo lo que un adolescente rockero necesita para pasar una tarde entretenida con las mejores canciones que a sacado paramore hasta la fecha pero si tu eres como yo también pensaras que la canción que dirige este maravilloso album es la increíble misery business

Paramore's second best album. I still think All We Know is their best work, but Their first two albums are really what Ill remember of them. The band fell apart after the Ferro brothers left. Sad to see they arnt a punk band anymore.

Another pop-punk band? This stuff has been done to death. Popular music is becoming formulaic these days. Play some power chords over and over, keep a linear drum beat, add an okay singer, write emotional lyrics that pretend to be "deep" but aren't, and you're famous.

Good clean sexy fun, very unique in that the singer is a female however isn't out to use her powers for evil. Paramore accomplishes a rare feet by producing truly positive music that edifies and inspires. Consistent fresh feel throughout the entirety of the album!

It's got great songs, but this is what you can call a poser masterpiece, 'cause apart from the singles, only 4 songs are great in this album. but it's better than their debut though.

Nothing more than a flyover Christian rock band, with brightly colored hair. Music just as bad as Kelly Clarkson. Pass.

I absolutely love this album, every song is amazing and never gets old, I first heard of Paramore last year, and at first I loved their newest album, but when I listened to this album I realized how much better this was than all their other albums, and this album will remaine one of my favorite albums for a long time.

Paramore's approach to Riot!'s spectrum of pop rock-driven emotions is expertly orchestrated by Hayley William's talent as a singer, which outshines the otherwise complimenting-yet-forgettable output from the rest of the band.

    Album highlight: Born for This

  1. The sound quality is ultra-clean, it makes the listening experience relatively risk-free and also brings attention to the fact that there's not a lot of ground being broken here.

[Hayley Williams'] Tennessee crew's second album isn't as charmingly precocious as the first. [Jul 2007, p.116]
  3. Riot sounds like a crunching, flashlight-white amalgamation of Avril Lavigne and Kelly Clarkson, save for token ballad "We Are Broken" that echoes the enchanting eighties sounds of Belinda Carlisle.
