Jul 27, 2011If a new artist released an album as strong and well-crafted as Roses at the End of Time as their debut, they'd likely be hailed as a major new force on the contemporary singer/songwriter scene; just because it's the work of a seasoned veteran doesn't mean it's too late for Gilkyson to be celebrated as a talent deserving of a larger and wider recognition.

Jul 27, 2011Roses at the End of Time may not be the artist's single greatest work, but it is another added pleasure in an enviable body of work––moreover, it's a refreshingly easy recording to enjoy, to turn to in times of laughter and tears, joy and fright, prayer, and bouts of irreverence: all the stuff we don't seem to encounter on a single platter often enough.
