    The album is chaotic, raw, and seemingly all over the place yet it somehow maintains a cohesive identity throughout. There are clear old-school blues and punk influences to Savage Times yet it simultaneously manages to have one of the most innovative and new sounds in recent rock. The album seems to be built around contradictions that shouldn't work, yet somehow do.
