Kerrang!Jul 9, 2013With only the occasional chorus in English, singing along is tricky for us gaijin, but melodically these might be Rivers' catchiest songs since The Green Album. That makes this a hit in anyone's language. [25 May 2013, p.53]

Jul 9, 2013All things considered, there’s little to make one hope that this project will bloom into more than just a curiosity for the two songwriters. It’s just so difficult to imagine this being done more than once.

Jul 9, 2013It would sound overproduced for 1998 yet seems curiously rinky-dink compared to the current pop maximalism of any continent; Scott & Rivers splits most of its time between ruthlessly utilitarian power pop and midtempo, jangly acoustic alt-rock that reimagines the break between Pinkerton and the Green Album as one where Cuomo ditched Harvard for higher education in the form of Stroke 9 or Eve 6 CDs.
