While it won't please those expecting a selection of aggressive dubstep workouts, Severant is a stunning debut that gives up more secrets with every listen.

His background on the harder edge of modern dance music means that, for all its delicacy, Severant never feels retro or overly derivative.

It's the generous flow of rapt, wistful melody that makes Severant such an appealing prospect. [Nov 2011, p.72]

  1. As part of Vex'd, Jamie Teasdale already set himself apart with the music the duo created, and now, as Kuedo, he pushes even further, creating immensely beautiful soundscapes yet unheard of. With his music he creates places and moments to escape from modern everyday live, painting a future for your mind to experience in all it's hope that cries out loud from every single beat - definitely one of the best LPs this year, maybe even one of the best to ever hit mankind so far.
