    Some of GD at his intensest. The rendition of Please Stay is simply beautiful

    Brilliantly cohesive for a covers album. The choice of songs is brave - esp. Hyperballad and Strange Fruit - but somehow Dulli pulls it off. A gem of a record.

    Dulli may revel in his own eclecticism, but this is still his most start-to-finish enjoyable album in a decade.

    Dulli isn’t in Johnny Cash’s league yet -- then again, Bob Dylan and Tom Waits are the only people who are -- but 'She Loves You' marks him out as a fellow traveller.
