    It's a nice listen, but songs are quite samey and if you told me the album was produced in 2016 I'd believe you. +1 pt for the Don Toliver feature because I'm a big fan.

    As a vocalist, 6LACK still often sounds enervated (if always lucid) in a way that rewards only close listening from those who value crooners over belters.

    To paraphrase the great Roy Kent, real love should make you feel like you’ve been struck by lightning. 6LACK manages some sparks here and there, but the tingles fade fast.
