Can’t stand this music. It’s extremely one-dimensional & boring. There are no melodies or hooks. It’s over produced & reeks of white privilege. Whoever wrote these songs has absolutely no soul or an extremely boring one. There’s nothing to it, I can’t even listen to a whole song of theirs. There are so many better things to listen to. It’s nothing. They are already forgotten & should beCan’t stand this music. It’s extremely one-dimensional & boring. There are no melodies or hooks. It’s over produced & reeks of white privilege. They manage to avoid toppling over on themselves, due to support from three instrumental pieces: "Activity 1-3," whose tasteful cinematic touches buttress much of the material.

The album's closing songs blur into a somewhat too-cushioned landing. [Dec 2012, p.112]

While there is more focus to the classically tinged electro-pop songwriting on Soft Fall than their last album (2010′s Nocturne of Exploded Crystal Chandelier), it shows up in moments, and disappears entirely at others.
