    Yet another strong release from two of my all time favorite songwriters. As many know by now, this is not a guitar oriented record, but that does not detract from the great songs. The first six are the strongest - with great melodies throughout.

    True to its title, Solid States is, again, a solid workman-like affair, flush with resolute integrity, catchy choruses and songs that sound tailor made for instant gratification.
