Limp Bizkit comes back in a big way after a whole decade with Still Sucks, an impressive Bizikit-like project that honestly is much better than expected.

Just like the good old days. Fred sounds FRESH. Album has its flaws, but in general it is ok. If you fan of Limp Bizkit you will love it.

Limp Bizkit does what they became famous for and it's surprisingly good. Of course, there's a bit of youthful nostalgia involved, but that doesn't diminish the fun you can have listening to the album if you let yourself get into it. It feels and sounds like the year 1999.

It was back in 2012 when Limp Bizkit fans first began waiting on Stampede of the Disco Elephants, the band's then upcoming 6th album. Things were looking really good between 2013-2014 as we saw tracks like "Ready to Go" and "Endless Slaughter" come out to raise the hype. It wasn't long though before it was radio silence and the only news we got from Wes Borland (the guitarist) was that all the songs were completed, Fred Durst was just tweaking them behind the scenes to perfect the sound. Years went by with no further updates and Stampede became the Chinese Democracy of Nu Metal.

Now here we are roughly 10 years later with this surprise release that features none of the aforementioned singles and an entirely different name. Whether this is what remains of that project or something else altogether I can't say for sure. It's just good to hear from this group again.

Not everything is perfect. The slow songs like their cover of INXS' "Don't Change" and "Empty Hole" are some of their best efforts on this front, but I still won't be returning to listen to them. Then there's whatever is going on with the second-half of "Snacky Poo."

Yet, age has obviously been kind to these guys. This is still the same old band just with a new (dad) vibe, which feels exactly like what we, and they, need right now. Fred's still screaming about the haters, but the areas where the years have mellowed him out have led to some of Bizkit's best material. If you've missed them the way I have then this is a must listen. Not least of all to see how they've grown up like you have, while simultaneously staying true to that edge they had back in the late '90s and early 2000s.

Though undoubtedly flawed, with more than a few tracks succumbing to the band's worst excesses and tendencies and Fred Durst remaining as grating a presence as ever (though he admittedly acquits himself a bit more admirably here than in the past), "Still Sucks" is ultimately kept afloat by tough, punchy musicianship (particularly Wes Borland's electrifying guitar wizardry), largely solidThough undoubtedly flawed, with more than a few tracks succumbing to the band's worst excesses and tendencies and Fred Durst remaining as grating a presence as ever (though he admittedly acquits himself a bit more admirably here than in the past), "Still Sucks" is ultimately kept afloat by tough, punchy musicianship (particularly Wes Borland's electrifying guitar wizardry), largely solid songwriting and surprisingly strong melodies, with the result being easily the best Limp Bizkit album in 20 years. Never been a huge LB fan, but this, this is what I like to hear from a band. The less annoying and narcissistic Fred Durst writes honestly very catchy lyrics, and I'm happy I can enjoy at least one record by them.

Great, short to the point album. Really, really enjoyed it. Wish there was more of it.

Yes Limp Bizkit still sucks. But uh yea, I listen to this album quite regularly now. It’s nonsense, I hate it but um, it sounds good and it has some catchy songs. It totally sucks.

While amazing seeing Limp Bizkit release new material after such a long hiatus, the finished product is slightly underwhelming, compared to their previous works.

I'm a dirty rotten bizkit what can I say, I really liked the album and it was pretty fresh while also sticking to the Limp roots.

Best limp bizkit album so far. Still Sucks contains awesome riffs, great drumming and pumchy vocals, something that should be expected from a metal band.

Still Sucks stands as a fun and highly enjoyable addition to the band's discography, delivering exactly what a Limp Bizkit listener wants to hear.

This knowingly middle-aged iteration of Limp Bizkit is far more likeable and less obnoxious than their younger self. But even so, they’ve lost none of their Big Durst Energy, and the knowing winks have only become bigger and knowing-er.
  3. This ain’t ‘Chinese Democracy’. ‘Still Sucks’ doesn’t feel laboured or overthought and never overstays its welcome.
