Jun 30, 2023While not quite reaching the high heights of Nas' debut, Illmatic, it still serves as an amazing comeback for the artist as well as an all-time classic.
-
Sep 8, 2022A rejuvenated still very young Nas shows Maturation, creativity and clever introspective lyricism that made him famous.
-
Aug 19, 2021Nas risen from the dead with this masterpiece. It was an silencer to all the criticism that he was receiving from his competition
-
Aug 14, 2020Hands down one of Nas best albums How it got a 69 rating on metacritic Absurd

Nov 17, 2017CLASSIC, the only word to describe this masterpiece. Nas showed he still had it and always will. Ether will go down as one of the greatest most vicious diss record of all time.

Jul 18, 2017good album.....................................................................................................................................................

Jan 20, 2017Imo this would've been just as good as Illmatic and It Was Written if it wasn't for that 'Braveheart Party' track. What a comeback to form, Nas here really claims the crown of NY. "Here's another classic!"
-
Sep 23, 2016if you don't like this then stop being a nob head, this album is great lyrical and all the beats make me cum, jay z is a overrated **** big up little t

Aug 19, 2016An album that never fails to please, it's smooth and aggressive at the same time. It's beats are extravagant and of course his rhymes are poetic, detailed and never fail to deliver. Also great production from
Megahertz, Baby Paul, Chucky Thompson, DJ Premier and Large Professor etc. Overall a pretty solid project and in my opinion, A CLASSIC! -
Apr 2, 2016another fine masterpiece crafted by one of hip hop's elite MC's. he does it again with superb production and excellent lyricism. he shows us he still got it and wont let it go. classic.
-
Jan 6, 2016A classic Nas album. Stillmatic is a strong LP that contains some of Nas' greatest songs from the aggressive Jay Z diss "Ether" to the retrospective "What Goes Around", to the creative storytelling in "Rewind". The album only has one dud, and it is "Braveheart Party", however, everything else is greatness.

Jun 15, 2013while i do believe that stillmatic is overrated, it is a comeback to form for nas. from one mic his best song since his illmatic days), to 2nd childhood, to the brutal ether, to the subtle disses in got ur self a, this album is amazing. production could've been better, but his lyricism makes up for it.

Aug 1, 2012After Nastradamus, Nas was almost not king of NY. Well with Stillmatic, he redeemed himself and I'd say he still is king of NY and always will be when he is rapping with advanced lyricism, and good production which are two reasons why Nas is the best of the game today. This is the definition of his name Nasty Nas, striking with another classic.
-
Jul 14, 2012the fact that this recieved a 69 scares me. this was one of the strongest releases for hip hop in 2001. this is just as good if not better than the blueprint.some of the great tracks are youre da man ether one mic and destroy and rebuild. the only reason this doesnt get a ten is because it didnt match the greatness of illmatic but still a fantastic album
-
Jul 13, 2012GREAT ALBUM. Great compostion, great song matter and of course with Nas' lyrical talent this album goes as far as being an album that truly represents rap for it's originality and purpose.
-
Apr 30, 2012It's not Illmatic, but that's like saying Othello isn't Hamlet. Just because it's not as good doesn't change the fact that Stillmatic is an amazing album. Weakest track on the album is probably smoking and that's still very good. Though I don't get all the hate on Every Ghetto.
-
Nov 27, 2010This album brought Nas back to the forefront in Hip-Hop. Aside from maybe one track, this entire album brings that intensity that only Nas can bring.
-
MahmoudRFeb 24, 2007This album is a classic PERIOD. The so called "experts" who rated this album were paid big bucks by def jam to do so

Stillmatic is all the proof anyone needs that Nas isn't as special as he was five years before the album's release.
-
BlenderA surprising return to form. [Feb/Mar 2002, p.114]
-
VibeIt's infuriatingly inconsistent.... But this album's bittersweet beauty lies in the fact that Nas cares. [Feb 2002, p.120]
