This album is SO good. Clare put whole her soul in it. So proud of her. She did not give up. Go through a lot of sh*t, through suck label, but she's DOING ART RIGHT NOW. And she is gorgeous.

(listening to some songs I wanted to cry, honestly (but i'm really hope, that she optimistic))

There's still a tendency to over-emote with superfluous melisma. But when she's at her starkest and most haunting, accompanied by little more than Beste's piano on "Faded" and "Leave You In Yesterday," she hits the spot unerringly. [Sep 2016, p.76]

That this is a good album should surprise no one; that she managed to make it at all is another matter.

A collection of classy, retro pop that showcases her chameleonic voice. It’s not a style that holds a huge amount of excitement any more, as indicated by the album’s more banal junctures, such as the rather stale Elizabeth Taylor and various cod-Adele moments. But Maguire proves it can still be startlingly fruitful.
