Apr 22, 2011Four years of silence doesn't matter. Burial remains brilliant. Especially Street Halo is somewhat revitalizing the Burial sound but NYC and Stolen Dog are familiar territory. Nevertheless Street Halo is enlightening and hopefully it gives a clue of the new direction Burial is aiming for.

Jul 17, 2012The six tracks divided evenly between his 20-minute 2011 return and his 30-minute 2012 stride forward, cohere almost seamlessly as the album they become when you don't have to turn any plastic over.

Apr 19, 2011Although a three-song offering that sounds like something scraped together using leftovers from a four-year-old album may seem a letdown, it's not, if only because, in those four years, many have tried to mimic Burial's sound but to no avail.

Apr 19, 2011Street Halo shows his commitment to his music both by tweaking it and sticking to the formula. It still makes him capable of bridging the brutal and the delicate. Only experienced crisis negotiators can say that.
