Street of the Love of Days is a well-conceived, perfectly executed album that captivates you right from the beginning and doesn't let go until well after the album stops spinning.

Street of The Love of Days is intimate and serene, sometimes pastoral, but there's nothing here that would make you miss the city, unless you hate bonfires and the crisp rustle of autumn leaves.

It's quiet but it gets your attention, surrounds you, and makes you feel a part of it all the way through.

At times the group is just too determinedly subdued, but never when Ms. Nunez-Fernandez is upfront; in English or Spanish her breathy voice is an enticement.

Despite being quite well-realized and able to sustain a single mood for so long, the album sounds increasingly like a missed opportunity as it progresses, with the two songwriters' work almost never achieving a real sense of cohesion.
