Jan 20, 2012The Arctic's prove they know how to get back on track with what is perhaps their least cynical collection of songs yet. The lyrics have lost a bit of meaning, but the melodies are as lush and beautiful as ever. 'Suck It And See' has something for everybody.

Mar 10, 2012An awesome album by the Arctic Monkeys. Has a much more "poppy" feel to it than previous records, specifically Humbug. But the album also still rocks some jagged tracks to such as Library Pictures and Don't Sit Down Cause I Moved Your Chair.

May 1, 2013The 4th installment from Arctic Monkeys is one to behold, with its riffs and poetic lines. It's a absolute smash! Certainly the best album of 2011 for me! Bring on album number 5!

Jun 7, 2011Excellent album - in my opinion the best since their debut. The Hellcat Spangled Shalalala, Love Is A Laserquest, and That's Where You're Wrong are up there with their very best stuff.

Jun 11, 2011Although the majority here will disagree with me, I think the album relies on a sound that doesn't really expand. Some songs I would not be able to tell apart due to the same single plucked notes at the start followed by verse/chorus/ verse etc songwriting. Some cracking tunes such as Piledriver waltz and She's Thunderstorms, cant however stop me from being just merely impressed.

Jun 7, 2011Boring. Lacking fantasy. Barely resembling of what they achieved previously. Not even comparable to the heights of Humbug (by far the best AM's album), but also earlier efforts. Still a very good one, but considering expectations - a dissapointment

Jun 11, 2011From a band with so much talent they produce something of low quality. They appear to be milking their name knowing people will pick the album up blindly. I'm just saying listen to the (bad) music first before you make your mind up on buying it.

Jun 16, 2011a great return for the monkeys with their poppiest album to date.no fillers here, only great melodiic catchy tracks.their best collection of songs since their debut.
-
Aug 30, 2011Their second best album after Favourite Worst Nightmare. Turner's song writing is mature, poignant, emotive and altogether brilliant. The atmosphere of the album is immersive, and the fact that they're showing that indie rock can still be refreshing and exciting is great. They're consistently one of the best British rock bands and with every release they're proving themselves a bit more.

Jun 9, 2011Not just their best album, but one of my favorites this year. Absolutely genius. Very cool throwback to hipster bands of the mid 80s/early 90s Smiths, Replacements, Echo & the Bunnymen. Very jangly, rock solid sound. Beats the hell out of the clumsiness of "Humbug"

Jun 11, 2011Very, very good. They have found the perfect balance between Humbug, a darker and somewhat experimental album, and the "poppiness" of their debut and sophomore album. I almost get Foo Fighters vibes from some tracks on this album.

Jun 23, 2011Brick by Brick along with a couple others make this album. The rest is filler and sounds so similar you can't differentiate any of it. She's Thunderstorms as an album opener is a total let down. My advice, download the hits, and skip on paying for the entire album.

Jul 28, 2011Gone are the youthful takes on nightlife and drinking, and so is the confusion of direction shown in humbug. Here is a collection of great guitar riffs and awesome lyrics. 'Took the batteries out my mysticism and put them in my thinking cap' being my favourite example. Best of 2011 so far.

Oct 20, 2011An improvement on Humbug but still nowhere near as good as the bands first two albums. It starts promisingly and ends well but in between there are some really boring tracks that go nowhere and offer little to the listener. The band need to come up with a really strong album next or else will forever be remembered as the band that arrived with a bang but faded away.

Jul 6, 2011If that score at the top of this review seems unfriendly, it's not because they've grown boring or predictable; it's just another step in an ongoing process.

Jun 30, 2011While the design is a bit different, the result is still another awesome album to add to Arctic Monkeys' arsenal.
-
Jun 21, 2011On its fourth LP, Arctic Monkeys combines its clever, tongue-in-cheek wordplay with a wider variety of sounds than it ever used on its other releases.
