Aug 5, 2013Perhaps the most tightly performed Joan of Arc material, Testimonium Songs feels less like a proper album and more like a sidebar, deeply aligned with the harsh tones of Reznikoff's bleak poems.
-
Aug 5, 2013An intriguing if uniquely disjointed experiment, and one that likely benefits quite a bit from familiarity with Charles Reznikoff’s work or seeing its theatrical accompaniment.
-
Aug 5, 2013Taken alone, these six tracks are fascinating enough from a conceptual standpoint, and listening to a band audibly restraining themselves is quite scintillating.
