DamonMApr 12, 2007Really strong, diverse, exciting, interesting, bizarre, touching, catchy... didn't listen to their previous albums much but this is one of my favourite albums of the year so far!

JeremyFApr 11, 2007I don't think the badly-reviewing critics are accurate. This is much less annoying than their previous album, Noah's Ark. Though over-the-top, as they always are, I think this is their best yet. Well written, purer cleaner and more refined recording. it's just a lot more enjoyable than La Maison or Noah's Ark. By far. best tracks: Japan, Werewolf, Raphael worst tracks: none.

UrbCocoRosie has this fantastic ability to infuse humanity into their drum machines, and the warming result carries The Adventures to marvelous heights. [Apr 2007, p.102]

What seemed fresh and charming on 2005's Noah's Ark sounds like an interminable racket this time round.

The Adventures of Ghosthorse and Stillborn is their third album, though, and if anything, it's a regression: CocoRosie seem to be intent on emphasising all that irritated in the first place.
