after a 4 year wait, this album was disappointing. the touch it track was incredible leading me to believe the big bang was going to have my head nodding like the previous records. the album is slow as hell and too many guest appearances. many hot tracks left off the album. stevie wonder a great artist along with rick james but a waste of tracks on a busta rhymes album. no wild enthusiasm. after a 4 year wait, this album was disappointing. the touch it track was incredible leading me to believe the big bang was going to have my head nodding like the previous records. the album is slow as hell and too many guest appearances. many hot tracks left off the album. stevie wonder a great artist along with rick james but a waste of tracks on a busta rhymes album. no wild enthusiasm. i understand there may never be another ele album but after the first two songs and the nas track i was uninterested. 3 out of 15. This is a very solid album...perhaps 2 or three weaker tracks but that's it. This might be Busta's best effort yet, It's early to tell but it definitely is one I can play from front to back (not always that easy with a busta album).

Rap just plain sucks. There is no music in this sad excuse for music. No musicians, no music. It's just that fucking simple, and this album blasts that out loud and proud.

Whenever I get round to Summer Jam Busta Bust is always in the middle of the action and ALWAYS the most fun of all. But he seems to have not evolved one iota from that young man who dropped his drawers with Jay Z at P. Diddy's "Victory" gig at MSG. Therein lies the pleasure and the curse. It's what I want and I'm glad to own it. Expand

This is an album where the good definitely outweighs the bad. The only track I honestly don't like is the one with Missy Elliot, but the rest are at least good, if not fantastic. Check the Dre produced tracks for some of the best board work in hip-hop recently. My only complaint is the amount of sick tracks that were left off - if you want more of The Big Bang, look for Ping, Psycho, This is an album where the good definitely outweighs the bad. 1. The album features a swaggering, minimalist confidence that's virtually impossible to ignore.
  2. On this album, then, the bad news is the same as the good news: Busta Rhymes is still Busta Rhymes. Which means that this CD contains about a half-dozen songs so infectious that they obliterate all the rest.
  3. "The Big Bang" successfully treads the line of commercialism, with palatable mainstream singles and solid street tracks.
