"The End of That" could be a pretty good album. It has in fact a lot of potential, which can be heard in the music arrangements, but somehow the vocals do not fit into the rest. What we get are just two good songs - rock "2010" and the subdued "Before". Everything else is just putted on the back burner.

I think some reviewers are over thinking things and not actually listening. This day in age of reviewing seems solely of getting the comparisons of past recordings right off the bat rather to stop and listen for pure enjoyment. I agree, some tunes here are lyrically lazy and boring, but for the most part I enjoyed the flow from song to song with more than enough songs to bop my head to.I think some reviewers are over thinking things and not actually listening. Parc Avenue was a strong first album with great textures, and sometimes rinse/repeat ain't in the blood, but this isn't THAT bad. Expand

The End of That feels like something built with the intentions of making a grand statement, but it comes up a few great songs short. Honestly it's pretty remarkable for what it attempts.

The record smartly offers little in the way of answers, instead drawing us into its strange limbo.

It's never a bad thing to be concise in your songcraft, but this album reveals that Plants And Animals are best when not over-thinking things.
