Apr 28, 2012This duo actually first got recognition several years ago for doing a startlingly beautiful Youtube cover of Fleet Foxes Tiger Mountain Peasant Song. This follows in that vein, really very nicely. This will be on my top ten list for the year certainly. It's a beauty from start to finish. As I've said elsewhere: pretty folkin' Swede.

Feb 21, 2012Awesome! Very Refreshing!
Clear influences from 70s but at the same time their melodies and harmonies are completely new. Their voices were meant to sing together. Great stuff. -
Feb 6, 2012Superb album. Melodious harmonies, great songs and voices. Can't believe they are so yoong. If you like Fleet Foxes, Sufjan Stevens etc you must listen to this.

Jan 29, 2012Their sound coupled with great songs make for a great album, they have an abundance of talent here. The first songs open this album up perfectly but i dont think it takes away from the rest of the album at all, everything seems to flow nicely. Very good work here. Listen through to appreciate this

Jan 24, 2012The album begins with two tracks of captivating brilliance. "The Lion's Roar" and "Emmylou" are so strong and their harmonies so polished that they seem to cast a shadow over the rest of the album. The remainder of the album is still very good, but it pales in comparison to the album's opening.

Oct 9, 2012The Lion's Roar lacks gravitas, but that will come with time and heartbreak. The soul, candor, and the way they sing "darling," that's the hard stuff, and it's scarcely sounded more gorgeous.
-
Mar 29, 2012They save overt prettiness for the music.
-
Feb 10, 2012The resulting collection of campfire singalongs proving nothing short of magical.
