SonicTomMar 13, 2007I am bored! The Stooges wouldn't never had made such a simple and disappointing record 30 years ago. No Blues, no Jazz??? No Fun!!! Let me think about American Caesar made by the Stooges, wow!!!!! That would have been a pleasure. 1/2 point for the reunion and another 1/2 for Iggy and his crew, who are alive!

MungoJMar 7, 2007I thought it sucked at first, now the tunes just continue to play in my head and I think it pretty much rules. "The Weirdness" is the best song, yeah some of the lyrics are a just a little bit terrible but the album as a whole still kicks the hell out of pretty much anything out there.

JimRMar 8, 2007A sad embarrassment for Iggy, the Ashetons, and Steve Albini.

HowieMMar 16, 200740 years of building a legacy all go down the drain with this piss poor attempt at sounding like The reformed Germs fronted by Crad Krueger. I have already burned my copy of Skull Ring and am selling my Shellac poster on eBay because of this.

DimkaKApr 5, 2007What I didn't get a week ago and what I get now is that I don't know shit about music. I thought 'The Weirdness' rather sucked in the beginning, I was wondering... I know now... Iggy knows better.

TomTApr 7, 2007Other than the Ig being mixed a little low, a great record. "My Idea Of Fun" I interpret as a comment on the post 9/11 America. And as for the complaint on "dumb" lyrics, dig the first Stooges album. Why do the call themselves "The Stooges", eh? Don't pay attention to the bad reviews. Buy it!!!

RolfIMar 13, 2007Not a direct continue on the origimal Stooges albums, but a natural evolution. One of the best Iggy Pop albums with his best band ever!

HeinMar 19, 2007I think 'The Weirdness' sucks big time. It's just a regular punkrock record. It's a painfull fact. Their 60/70s albums are awesome and live The Stooges still kick your head off like no other band ever can!

mikes.Mar 7, 2007a failure to recreate stooges of old. The lyrics and songwriting are bad this time around, and the guitars lack energy, and the production is bland. poor release they should of never reunited.

SonicSmithApr 19, 2007Of course the rock critics don't get it. The first time around, only Detroiters and a handful of degenerates like Joey Ramone, Johnny Thunders, Johnny Lydon, Henry Rollins and Ian MacKaye got it. Twenty years from now the critics will all call it a classic.

RichRApr 12, 2007I wonder if I've been listening to the same album all these weirdos are trashing. I love these songs, and I REALLY love the guitar playing. Hmmm, some people must want to just slag these guys, for some reason. Dunno why...

DRJun 11, 2007The vinyl version is infinitely better than the cd version. It's got a better overall sound (you can actually hear the bass!) and the bonus ep makes it all worthwhile with songs infinitely better than on the album and cd version. The big mistake here is only a select amount of people are going to get to hear the best part of the release.

May 10, 2015Been listening to The Stooges since the early 80's, and while this album may not become a classic like their first 3, it is still one of the best records to come out in 07. And personally I like it better than Fun House, but that's just me.
