    Ok album. There are some good songs but they kinda sound like each other & some of them are too short. The features outshine her but at least that helps tell apart the songs. It's still a great debut album & there's a lot of time to improve, there's great material.

    Leray gives a vivid performance throughout Trendsetter’s ups and downs, even if a distinct portrait of her “pain” lies just out of focus.

    In addition to often sleepy and forgettable production, Leray's flow leaves much to be desired and even guests like Nicki Minaj ("Blick Blick"), Fivio Foreign ("Mountains"), and H.E.R. ("Overthinking") can't save the day.

    The faults in Trendsetter come mostly because she relies on the star power brought by her guests but negates her ability to identify herself within the music.
