Truth Decay is still, at every turn, a quintessential You Me album. The choice not to deviate into experimental territory is comforting rather than disappointing, and a more than solid addition to their catalogue is no bad thing.

The single Mixed Emotions (I Didn't Know How To Tell You What I Was Going Through) is the album's manifesto, the chiming opening riff breaking into a wall of sound while singer Josh Franceschi howls his failure to communicate into the gale. And the onslaught rarely falters. [Mar 2023, p.78]

‘Truth Decay’ is a mixtape You Me At Six have lovingly burned and placed into our open palms. It’s got tracks you’ll love, some you won’t, but there’s an undeniable charm throughout.
