Not all that bad, definitely some moments to turn one one, however he doesn't do enough to push the genre or himself for thta matter to warrant enough excitement in this day and age, Still it's a good electronicalogical type album to start with if your're wanting to find more indie type electronic sounds

Nice Album, kinda makes me think of what kind of album Aphex Twin would offer us if he made an album of recent times, nice mixture of drum and bass, computer sounds and a nice slice of breakbeat, hopefully more albums of this quality to come from Warp in the future, message to warp get a new Aphex Twin album!, come on you slags!

While a number of tracks offer a solid melodic thread to grasp,m wade deep enough into Ufabulum and you'll find the sweetness a trap. [Jun 2012, p.160]

There's something about how these tracks activate complicated astrophysical sequences dense with mathematical run-off that makes them have hi-speed, cyber-virtual effervescence.

At 50 minutes, Ufabulum is a little exhausting and monotonous to be declared a masterpiece. But chunks of it are quite brilliant and exciting, so it's better to take it exactly as it is: a Squarepusher record, through and through.
