Aug 16, 2022Overproduced but the songs are well crafted and very beautiful. Would love a full acoustic version of this album with the original vocal cuts.
-
Jul 12, 2022Under Rug Swept struggles to keep a sense of nonsensical conversation in Morrisette's Music - and perfectly represents it.
-
Nov 25, 2021Alanis Morissette gets closer to her debut in this record after her last album, and the result is amazing
-
Nov 25, 2021Alanis Morissette is one of the most clever song writters there is, and she proves it here one more time
-
Nov 24, 2021Alanis Morissette is one of my favorite artists, and this album is great with greats songs such as Hands Clean, 21 Things I Want in a Lover and many others
-
Nov 22, 2021Alanis Morissette is not for everyone's taste, but I love her voice and her lyrics are so smart!

Jul 31, 2020I already knew her previous songs a little, but after listening to Hands Clean I became a fan. And it has been like that since 2002. What an artist!

Oct 24, 2017Definitivamente não é o melhor álbum de Alanis, aliás foi nele que começou uma queda até o de 2008 que foi bem fraco. Mas fico feliz que o álbum teve certo sucesso comercial.

VeronicaVNov 17, 2006To Chris L: Alanis Morissette is the epitome of those "other artists out there." the fast that you think you can compare her to the typical overated musicians who all sound the same [avril, michelle branch, vanessa carlton--all of whom can be quite good at times] is ridiculous. love alanis, great albulm

raVenApr 17, 2004I like Alanis, even though I get the distinct impression she doesn't want me to like her. This disc is alternately great and not so great.

KatiePFeb 16, 2004I love the first 4 tracks. But I can't get passed them. I wish someone could tell me it's as good as Supposed Former (which I think is better than Jagged Little Pill). The first four songs prove that she is an amazing singer/songwriter still. I just hope she can improve for the new one, due out this spring. She's still number one to me though!

StacyAApr 14, 2002Alanis is the most open artist ever who is not afraid of the public and their comments. Anyone who knows her talent, would realize that.

darrenzApr 14, 2002this album really shows alanis' writing abilities at their best. she takes all creative credits for this album and it becomes pretty obvious after a first listen that she can do it! i'm in awe again and again, listening to the album repeatedly. such a variety of songs. i truly love and recommend it.

Awards & Rankings
-
Her stream-of-conscious lyrics about self-esteem and troubled relationships are just more of the same medicine that went down better with 1995's Jagged Little Pill.
-
Morissette seems unwilling to step into unfamiliar territory.
-
Although 2002 is still young, consider Under Rug Swept one of the year's best.
