Local Natives deliver a tale of affection deeply rooted in the realism of love, not just in romance but in life.

But for all of the globe-trotting that went into Violet Street, Local Natives remain quintessentially SoCal: genial, approachable, and optimistic, even if their surroundings are liable to be on fire or crumbling into the sea.

Despite the occasional moment of stagnation, Violet Street is a commanding collection of songs that strikes at the heart with it's earnest depictions of love in the City of Angels.
