feriautusOct 13, 2005I really wish I liked it more. Perhaps because "Change" is such a bliss, the rest of the album falls a little flat. With the exception of "Never Yours" - a truly great song where she sings - beautifully: "Say I'm a saint of mercy, say I'm a whore..." She's unique, really. Strong yet fragile, harsh yet warm. It's always nice to see her around. Welcome back, Tracy.

Where You Live is yet another elegant and easy album from Chapman, just the kind her fan base has come to expect.
-
BillboardThe album distinguishes itself from Chapman's previous releases with its stellar studio band and its refusal to submit to pop production. [17 Sep 2005]

Chapman is an eloquent lyricist with a strong social conscience, but she's also a superb songwriter and musician and Where You Live contains several instances of low key beauty.
