Sep 27, 2012This is, for the most part, one bloke with a guitar making a lovely noise. Prewitt is generous with his melodies and hooks, providing an abundance of beautiful musical phrases. Timeless sound but does lack edge and variation, so some will not like it on those grounds.

Entertainment WeeklyLanguidly pretty. [21 Jan 2005, p.88]

Wilderness is Prewitt’s most accomplished solo effort to date. He has craftily corralled the large scale orchestral sweep of White Sky, but kept the intimacy of the guitar/voice confessionalism of Gerroa Songs.
-
Prewitt combines the low-key melancholia of Nick Drake with the symphonic aspirations of Brian Wilson.
