    It works, not only because Ms. Alaina has a big voice, but also because she doesn't portray herself as an aw-shucks beginner. She's skipped that step, and rightly so.

    yron Gallimore, who previously produced Sugarland and Faith Hill, gives Wildflower an appealing gloss that helps disguise the ordinariness of the material along with any of Alaina's shortcomings, and that slickness serves Wildflower well, making it a much more enjoyable piece of product than McCreery's Clear as Day.

    Lauren's voice is so sweet, the album isn't really a masterpiece but shows exactly what we want from her. Not only does it foreshadow winner Scotty McCreery's album in my opinion, it also stays true to Lauren's identity and establishes her as a versatile artist. "Wildflower" is a perfect mixture of ballads and upbeat tracks with just the right amount of youthful fun that especially teenagers, both females and even males, will enjoy. All in all, you will not be disappointed if you buy this album.… Expand
