Represents an enlightened South, where relfections on politics mix with odes to corn bread, where fingerpicked guitars blend with glitchy synths. [5 Sep 2003, p.76]
  2. I want you to hear this record, because you're really not going to experience many more interesting and listenable things in the world of popular music right now. But you better have some Ying Yang Twins or Junior Senior on hand, because you're gonna need a pennysworth of fun to go along with your nickelbag of funk.

As with Watermelon, Chicken, the album drags; still, it's a compelling ride. [Oct 2003, p.110]
  5. Applies a coat of polish and smooths out the rough edges of their sound.
  6. Features a more worldly sound and outlook.

Awesome tracks, with only a few weak points. Could have been one of the best of the year with the addition of 2 more solid tracks. Overall Awesome tracks, with only a few weak points.
