The record may be a little short on variety, but it is long on mid-fi energy, and will give fans of the kind of stripped-down and live-sounding rock Dead Moon and the Wipers cranked out plenty of warm and nostalgic feelings.

The ten raw and carelessly endearing tracks feel oddly cathartic and refreshing, in an often pitilessly, anxious world more concerned with who tripped up the stairs at the Oscars.

nd. Yes, the band tugs a little too hard at its roots at points, but it’s still a fun listen, and it’s hard not to dive in as they play in the dirt.

The band's largely understated interpretation of punk offers a fresh and relatable perspective, mostly free of melodrama or righteous indignation. [No. 97, p.61]

Keep things simple, reminded by older folks of a time when it was totally acceptable to admit being part of the KISS Army.

The Woolen Men is a band that knows well the sounds it wants to make, though what the bands says with those sounds, what they reveal, is still unclear.
