  • Summary: The latest album for the Massachusetts-born rapper features guests such as High Priest, Busdriver, Subtitle, Nocando, Vyle, and Mestizo.
Score distribution:
  1. Positive: 6 out of 8
  2. Negative: 0 out of 8
  1. This pithy second album administers a series of life-giving shocks to the ailing form of leftfield hip hop. No skits, no instrumentals, just heartfelt lyrics delivered at speed.
  2. Alternative Press

Fantastic. Yesterday is a breath of fresh air for hip hop. [Feb 2009, p.107]
  3. Q Magazine

Few rappers think to use words like "polyocular;" fewer still manage to make them funky. [Nov 2008, p.111]
  4. Even if he tends to get lost and off-track, his spoken-word delivery suits Beck’s end-of-the-world backdrops. All criticisms aside, as a listener, Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow truly delivers.
  5. K-the-I??? makes bold steps alongside the likes of Saul Williams, emanating poetic flamboyance without becoming too confusing, but with enough (e)motion and kinetic verve to satisfy even the most passive ear.
  6. Occasionally sounding like Vast Aire’s little brother with Bigg Jus aspirations, this immense man spills his solemn life lessons while treading the literal lyric territory that Vast owns so effortlessly.
  7. Fans of esoteric underground rap should take notice. Worth investigating.
