Gun Crazy is a short, side scrolling, run and gun shooter. Being from Ratalaika it's an easy platinum but the game itself doesn't last much longer unless you set yourself the challenge of beating it in 1CC mode. There is some depth to the controls but the short run time stops the game from really getting going.
The sprite work is undoubtedly impressive, and the audio is as hyperactive as you’d expect. But this is a wafer-thin experience, with only the draw of a better score to pull you back for a second playthrough. As a piddly, rose-tinted reminder of the retro shooters of old, there’s very little to truly dislike here – but it’s important you know what it consists of before parting with your cold hard cash.
If you want a game that’s interesting, or engaging, or that expects anything of you, forget it, because you’re not getting it in Gun Crazy. It’s probably for the best that you can clean up all the trophies here in about 10-15 minutes, because anything more than that and you quickly realize that this game has nothing more to offer.
