With the time involved in advancing and all the perks that comes with, coupled with competitive tournament play, this game should keep you entertained for a good long time.
Although Legacy Online does adequately create an experience that can survive offline while being challenging and rewarding when online, the basis for the game isn’t going to appeal to a broad audience.
The whole feel of the game is relaxed and easy-going. If you’re at wit’s end you can always ask someone online for help. I found the online community friendly and equally laid back.
Balanced well for casual players who don't want to make large time commitments to the game, yet it's this same balance that ultimately keeps the game from being truly compelling at this point in time.
The connection to other players is too abstract to make the game anything more than a vaguely interesting and simple business simulation. [Oct 2003, p.92]
